Two Structured Pathways to the Langgymnasium
Depending on your child’s current grade and German proficiency, there are two preparation routes.
Early Preparation (Year 5 elementary school)
Students in year 5 can visit the
→Gymnasium Language Bridge (6-week program)
followed in year 6 by
→Gymnasium Preparation – Standard Program (19-week program) (page in German)
This pathway allows students to strengthen advanced school-level German before entering the standard 19-week preparation program.
Direct Entry (Year 6 elementary school)
Students in year 6 may choose between:
→Gymnasium Preparation – Multilingual Track (19-week program)
or
→Gymnasium Preparation – Standard Program (19-week program) (page in German)
Both programs follow the same structured 19-week preparation system. The Multilingual Track integrates additional language-focused support.

Instructor
Tanja Gerig is an experienced primary school teacher and has been with us since 2016. Building on our existing Gymivorbereitungskurs, she tailored the Gyminasium Preparation - Multiligual Track and the Gymnasium Language Bridge for children with a multilingual background and personally teaches it at our locations in Zurich-City and Zurich-Oerlikon. Her background includes:
Primary school teacher with CAS in German as a second language
Master of Science in Psychology, University of Zurich
